Xbox360 Headphones

How can i turn of the headphone port, on Xbox360 pad.?

I have bought my self an xbox 360 pad, plugged it into my pc. Downloaded the drivers and installed them, tested the pad. Started a game to find, i had no sound. I know it’s to do with the headphone function on the pad, but am not sure how to sort it out. Please help.

Go to dashboard and select settings.
