are there any backfires to downloading a game onto you Xbox360‘s hardrive?

the new feature on nxe that allows you to download xbox360 games onto your xbox360′s hardrive, is there anything risky about it? like what i mean is will the content’s of the original disk be erased? or somthinhg else?

it makes halo 3 run slower but other than that no. Halo 3 wasnt meant for that Bungie announced it when the new xboxlive experience came out
