Games: the latest hobby?

In recent years we have witnessed many people playing as a hobby than anything else, of all ages and both sexes in respect of to those entities. It's almost as if the new brand has cut into our history books and took note of all the fields of many to come. Some people only play consoles. What the Magnavox Odyssey, when it first came out, opened the way for others to follow first-generation systems game. Now we are the seventh generation of consoles there with the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

How much is in all modes is played at the recreational players, though? Many people spend some days / Week / month for playing time.
