Why suck 75% of recent Video Games?

Remember classic Super Metroid, Sonic, Mario, Donkey Kong? What now? Not much, and excellent graphics and gameplay, but the developers are wasting their time, apparently. Some games are good, as God War, Hitman …… only those who have a long series work. Final Fantasy seems to be terrible now, and what was the best. All are good, memorable games gone forever?
